I’m trying to learn GTK but the documentation has not been written for people looking to learn. They’re geared towards people who already understand the framework.
Additionally, the resources available are exceeding sparse.
Does anyone have a good starting point for someone who is looking to learn how to build apps in GTK?
There are some basic tutorials here but I’m not sure whether they’ll be adequate or not. I’m also not surprised you failed to discover them. They’re not hidden, but they’re not front and center either.
In theory, you’re supposed to know about developer.gnome.org or find it high in search results, and then from there notice the link in the bottom right.
Once upon a time, we had books to train new developers. I suppose those times are over.
