Laptop suspending on AC power despite settings saying otherwise

Hi forum,

my power settings look like this on Debian trixie with Gnome 48 (full system details below):

And even with these settings and the laptop being on AC power, it inevitably will suspend at some point. In some way or other, this is probably “my fault”: This has definitely been working in the past and I might have changed something so that it stopped working. Only what?

I tried inhibiting sleep with

gnome-session-inhibit --inhibit idle:suspend --inhibit-only

and that does the trick (meaning: laptop does not suspend while this command is running).

But still, I’d like to understand what might overrule the Gnome settings, forcing the latptop into suspend when it should not. Any pointers welcome!

Thanks

Farblos
