The power menu in settings in gnome feels quite lacking to me. Why not having the options to change the settings related to what happens when closing the lid when connected to AC or on battery (like suspend, screen off, block, ignore). I find this settings quite useful and are also present in many other OSs.

I love Gnome, but I have the same question. For laptop power management, the settings in Gnome leave much to be desired. Gnome team, how about taking a look at KDE and bringing the power options to our beloved Gnome?
