Hello folks!

We want to point out that today we are launching our fundraiser to raise our Friends of GNOME from 735 FoG to 1500! We have just posted the blog and will be following up on social media.

Call to Action:

Please share the blog post with the hashtag #FriendsofGNOME on mastodon, bluesky, and linkedin. We hope to reach 1500 FoG by the end of the year. If you have done volunteer work on GNOME projects and feel inclined to use the hashtag to gain attention to the work you’ve done on GNOME projects, please share with the #FriendsofGNOME.

Some things that can be improved:

  • The blog post apparently doesn’t appear on Planet GNOME.
  • GNOME (@gnome@floss.social) - FLOSS.social lacks a post that can be shared/boosted/etc.
  • The blog post talks about the #FriendsOfGNOME hashtag, while here it’s #GiveToGNOME (in case of doubt, write the two :slight_smile: ?)

I wanted to thank the people who have put efforts into building the successful Friends of GNOME!

I updated it. We changed the hashtag and forgot to update it here. There is now be a post on social that you can share/boost on all social media (LinkedIn, mastodon, bluesky)
