Lowest brightness level on my laptop turns the backlight completely off, which in conjunction with Gnome’s automatic brightness means that often my screen gets turned off, which is very irritating and destroys the purpose of automatic brightness.
Is it possible to change the range in which automatic brightness works, or maybe the shell can enter?
Gnome Shell 3.36
OS: Solus 4.1
Laptop: Toshiba Portege Z20t-b
PS I tried changing brightness provider by adding kernel parameters: acpi_backlight=video/vendor/native
or video.use_native_backlight=1
to fix it on system level, but to no avail
