Imported music missing from library after system crash

Hi,

After spending a couple of days importing music into my library and adding songs to my playlist, my computer froze unexpectedly (no evidence the freeze is related to Rhythmbox). After restarting the computer and launching Rhythmbox, it appears that all of the music that had been imported over the past couple of days is absent from the library.

On my system, it appears that the library database is contained within ~/.local/share/rhythmbox/rhythmdb.xml.

Is there a way of recovering the library as it was prior to the system crash? Is there a way of mitigating the risk of losing changes to the library in the future? Thanks for your help.

The database is saved every 15 minutes if there have been any changes. If your system is working normally (which it might not be if it freezes on you), you shouldn’t have lost days of changes to it.
