Hi.
I subscribe to Cory Doctorow’s Pluralistic blog. Can I get the account to display HTML and render the posts properly?

Hi,
you did setup the feeds, when you’ve been creating them. No idea what
the Thunderbird defaults to, but in Evolution the default is to use the
text from the feed. You can set which format to use, plain text, HTML
or markdown (it’s tried to be detected), you also can set the feed to
ignore the text in the feed and download the complete article.
The options in Edit->Preferences->News and Blogs are for all feeds,
then in the respective feed Properties you can change the options
individually.
Bye,
Milan
Hi, sorry for the delay - yes there were some settings that had a horizontal red line that I mis read as check marks!
All sorted
Ah, right, it’s that “neither checked nor unchecked” state. Some themes
make it harder to differentiate from the “checked” state, or like for
me, when I’ve not been used to it, I did not get on the first look what
that drawing actually means. The “neither-nor” state is not used that
often, after all.
