For tablets and smartphones, how should a screencast be captured, using the shell? All I see is the keybind recommended, which isn’t applicable.
Kooha suits my needs in the meantime. I would expect dbus to be the answer, but:
Does clicking the screenshot button in Quick Settings works? It should bring up the menu (I think at least)
@tragivictoria, for screenshotting, it provides options. It doesn’t appear to for screencasts.
In the bottom left corner of the menu you can tap the camera icon

I can’t really make a screenshot of screenshot utility 
What version are you using? Clicking icon in Quick Settings should show the same menu as a keyboard shortcut
