How to analyse geary crashes

hi, geary often crashes in my experience

  • it crashes when i open geary and it syncs mail
  • it crashes when i enter more than 1 character into the search field

I am running a flatpak’ed version of geary on top of ubuntu 25.10. I would like to report this as issues. In order to do so, I would like to obtain useful debug output such as a stack trace etc.

Hence my specific question: How do I obtain debug output from geary, specifically given my situation where I run geary using flatpak?
