How do you shut down your computer fast?

Right now you press right corner once to open the menu, then the shut-down button, then the middle ARE YOU SURE YOU WANT TO SHUT DOWN. That’s three clicks. Is there a way to do this with keybinds instead? That could probably be quicker.

I use this keybind Out, without.

You can set it via Settings app I think. If it’s not there, then Dconf Editor/gsetttings

Another way I found is that you can type in the overview “shut” or “off” and go directly to the confirmation dialog. At least for me, its fast enough

It also depends on your system language (in Spanish it would be “apagar”, for example)

I do the same, but pressing the Win key and then typing “apagar.”

In the “Power” setting, you can set the Power Button Behavior to “Power Off”.

The button will still trigger the confirm dialog, but you don’t need to leave keyboard.

Has the default thing for the physical power button to do, has that been to make the computer sleep? No matter distro, OSX or windows.

Ctrl + Alt + Del shows the power off menu, then Tab followed by Enter! :rocket:

To me, Ctrl+Alt+Del is to log out, I had to rebind System>Power off in Settings>Keyboard>Keyboard Shortcuts
