How can I change desktop selection/highlight color?

I just installed Debian 13 with Gnome, and want to change color of this desktop selection, but accent color doesn’t affect it at all. How can I change color of it? Maybe some extensions allow this?

Hi there!

Just to note, but GNOME in its default does not have such a “desktop selection” box.

So this box is likely from an extension. I would assume one that adds desktop icons.

If you have the original “Desktop Icons” extension or the GTK3 based one “Desktop Icons NG”, it could be very likely that those extensions don’t know about accent colors.

I would try if the Gtk4 Desktop Icons NG does support it, as it uses libadwaita which does support accent colors.
