The Search behavior in Gnome Terminal seems defective to me. It only finds the first occurrence in a line. For example, if the terminal displays:
now is the time for all good men to jump over the lazy dog.
when in the course of human events
And I search for “the” it only finds the first instance on line one, and then clicking the “Find next occurrence” button proceeds to line 2.
That seems incorrect, or at least it’s not how other applications work, e.g., Xed.
Am I misunderstanding something?
(I’m using: Version 3.44.0 for GNOME 42)
