We are creating a persistent topic on on-boarding. We have a few members of the team that will be working on scalable method to onboard people into various parts of GNOME. A lot of thought has already gone into this - https://gitlab.gnome.org/Teams/Engagement/General/-/issues/142
By identifying the roles that we need within the project, potential contributors can easily identify based on their own expertise what role would suit them best and how to best get involved. From there, we will need to map them to issues.
Iām putting this in here for tracking so that we can update people who might be interested in this or have conversations about pain points about working with the project and finding things to do.
