Gnome gitlab account false blocking due IP restriction

Hello everyone,

I recently tried to register for an account on gitlab.gnome.org, but my registration was automatically rejected due to an IP-related restriction.

I am not using a VPN or any cloud hosting service, so I believe this may have been a false positive.

My goal is to contribute to the GNOME Mutter repository and report and track upstream issues related to GNOME components used in our platforms.

I tried sending an email regarding this issue to ‘infrastructure@gnome.org’ but looks like it is not a valid address, so I’m posting here in case someone from the infrastructure team can assist or advise on the next steps.

Could someone please review my case or guide me on how to proceed?

Thank you very much for your time and support.

Best regards,
Devanshi Bansal
