Gnome 40/fedora 34 randomly switches to laptop mode on x86 touch tablet

More of a question than an issue, I’m pretty sure gnome is trying to do the right thing, I just can’t figure out how to make it stay in tablet mode, and never enter laptop mode. Because that disables osk and screen rotation for me, which is very annoying.
Surely there must be some way to tell gnome to just stay in tablet mode?
Also I would like to mention gnome 40 is absolutely amazing, this has been my only qualm which is just a minor nuisance; but I would still like to learn something so here I am. I will gladly post any relevant outputs - my tablet is a toshiba wt8-b. Everything in gnome 40 works flawlessly except for this, great job guys.
