Would it be at all possible to add support for WebM or MP4 animated files?
Hi! Anything’s possible. In fact, Jehan (GIMP’s maintainer) works in animation and wants to include more animation features as a core aspect of GIMP.
What are you expecting for WebM/MP4? Just importing/exporting the frames, or additional options?
Simple importing and exporting would be enough where each layer is a frame of the animation kind of like the way animated gifs are done.
Anything is possible if there is someone wanting to write the code.
