Gimp 2.10 - 2 images open

hi all,

on gimp 2.10 - when you have 2 images open - it takes forever switching between them if you do;
file - open recents

i know theres some buttons that can be turned on which makes it easier to do. can someone tell me where they are

As the File part of the menu indicates, File > Open recent loads the image from disk, so if you do this for an image already opened in Gimp, you get a new copy of the image, and not a switch to the already opened image.

  • In single window mode, to switch between image you click on the relevant thumbnails.
  • In multiple window mode, you use your desktop window selection
  • In both modes, you can use the Images list dialog
