Fifteen minutes, a while, and eagerness of discobot

I’m fairly familiar with the purpose and effectiveness of @discobot.

Here, the bot became lonely after fifteen minutes:

Is this – fifteen minutes – not overly eager?

(Is fifteen minutes a default for this action? It surprised me.)

It’s the default and I don’t think it’s overly eager. It takes just a couple of minutes to let Discobot make you familiar with the basics of Discourse. I found it useful to complete but if you don’t want to you can go to Preferences > Interface and tick the “Skip new user onboarding tips and badges” option.
