It would be great if there would be an option to open folder in another tab just like in a browser it is possible to open a link in another tab holding ctrl.

Hi. It is for nautilus.
Use the middle button on your pointing device: it’ll open the folder in a tab.
Wow. That is nice. I could not find it on internet. Cool! 
The keyboard shortcut equivalent is Ctrl + Return
