Feature request: save/restore layouts in Nautilus

Hi GNOME/Nautilus team,

I’d like to request the implementation of a feature to save and restore the layout of a Nautilus window, including its open tabs. Currently, managing multiple open tabs can be cumbersome.

It would be incredibly useful to be able to save the current window state by right-clicking on the Nautilus top bar. A similar mechanism is available in the Terminator Terminal Emulator, and I find it extremely useful in my daily workflow.

Thank you for considering this request.

I doubt it would work that way. If the user can choose, it would certainly be an option to enable in the preferences window. An option to always ask to save session or not upon closing Nautilus could be included.
