Currently when creating a password protected .zip file it only asks for the password once, with no confirmation. It may be better to add a second repeat password box to confirm we have correctly typed the password before the .zip is created, to prevent accidentally encrypting the .zip with a password that was incorrectly typed, and causing us to not be able to open it in the future without realizing until it’s too late.
Hi Nia, the GNOME HIG does not explicit giving any recommendations on this, but I think your use case is valid and the example pointed to by the HIG also features a confirmation field. I think this is something we would want, so I went ahead and filed an issue for it.
