Dia : both background plus "selectable" text in svg?

hello

i use dia since a little while for diagrams. THanks for this software.

i’d like to know, how to export a diagram in a svg file, permitting both to get the background color + selectable text?

for the background color :
diagram properties ==> background ==> colours

well, if i export a diagram :

  • using the “cairo” svg : it shows well the background on the picture, BUT doesnt permits to select text (on firefox)

  • using the “simple” svg (not the caro one) : the background disappears, the zoom is bigger and the text can be selected on FF.

how to get both background + selectable text on svg export ? thank you vm

The easiest option would probably be to draw a rectangle of the colour you want behind your diagram, in general we export diagrams on a transparent background so they can be best included in other documents.
