Dead keys in gnome-desktop-4 applications

Since the Gnome update to 49 in archlinux, I cannot use the dead keys of the keyboard layout I use (Swiss French) in applications that depends on gnome-desktop-4. There is no such issue in applications that depends on gnome-desktop (such as evince) or in others applications such as Firefox, Thunderbird or Inkscape.

For instance, in the Gnome control center, when I try to type “ê”, I get “e”, and not even “^e”.

I’ve checked how my locale and keyboard layout are configured, but I’m not able to spot any issue.

I’m not sure that I’m on the right place to ask this question, so I apologize for the noise. Of course, I’m willing to provide further information, but at this point I don’t know what is relevant.

Ok. Thanks a lot for your answer! Following the instructions fixed the issue… except for the search in the activities view. :sweat_smile: But that is much better now.
