Custom gtk engine for application

Hi,

I am just curious about howto implement my very own gtk engine and use it in my application.

Howto get started? Is there any documentation?

What existing gtk engine would you look at? And how is Gtk4 doing?

If you mean “GTK theme engine”: there’s no such thing. GTK3 removed that functionality (but kept the API) in 3.16 (March 2015), and the API was entirely removed in GTK4.

If you want to have custom themes, you will have to use CSS.
