Contacts matrix chat room

Looking on the GNOME Contacts gitlab page, it talks about joining the chat room on matrix, but it appears to be invite only.

Is the contacts room really that exclusive, or can I get an invite? B/c this discourse about contacts (at least when using the ‘tag/contacts’ view) seems pretty desolate…

Hi,

The restriction on joining the room was due to a spam wave that forced us to temporarily restrict to invite-only. AFAICT this was a while back and we now should be good to go, so I opened up the room to all registered users again.
