Currently alt-backtick can switch between windows of any workspace.
Can we configure the alt-backtick behavior so that it switches only between windows on the current workspace/desktop?
Ah, nice. This does the trick:
gsettings set org.gnome.shell.app-switcher current-workspace-only true
