Compressing files error, encryption not supported

I was exploring Nautilus’ capabilities when I ran into this error while trying to compress a file w/ .zip password protection:

There was an error while compressing files.
encryption not supported

Normal .zip compression works fine. GNOME OS 46 running in GNOME Boxes 46.0 (Flathub). Host system is Debian unstable. Do note that I couldn’t use the official GNOME OS Nightly Endless OS installer ISO thing from the official os.gnome.org due to some ‘something is wrong w/ your installation’ error. Before I get ahead of myself, I did try to use the Boxes downloader thing but it just downloads 0 B images. So, I had to resort to using the latest stable ISO from this old website. It works pretty well so far.

I was wondering how to get this thing to work, maybe I have to install some package to enable encryption like it’s Windows NT 4 Workstation SP 6 or something?
