I noticed in the application requirements for GNOME Circle, it permits application IDs in the form of “com.github.USER.APP” or “io.github.USER.APP”, and the same for GitLab. However, I don’t use GitHub or GitLab; I use Codeberg to host my software. Would an app ID in the form “org.codeberg.USER.APP” be allowed under the same logic, or would i have to use a different ID?
That’s fine, as long as you own the repository at codeberg.org/USER/APP
; the point of the reverse domain notation is to ensure that users of your application can easily verify its provenance.
