On gnome 49 the DND toggle is reassigned as a quick settings item. The only thing that I think is not a good change is moving the DND indicator and replacing the Message indicator with a dot. The DND toggle as a quick settings item is a great change but please let’s bring back the indicator icon in its original position.
Since DND is notification related, the middle section is a better home for this indicator also this will make a 2 state bell icon as shown below. And in the design perspective it just looks better and better distributed. The quick settings indicator is already getting crowded with the addition of performance mode indicator.
