Can we get blur for full UI. Blur my shell with application blur looks nice. There are too many same bugs with using an extension.
It would be nice if we could get native blur support with Gnome.
Hi and welcome to the forum. There are several mockups and issue reports about this feature, but I think it’s unlikely to ever happen. First of all blur is all around just bad for legibility and designers don’t seem to like the idea.
However, it’s worth noting GTK does support blur these days, and it’s possible .osd style will use it. @alicem can say more.
Oh really sad I think it really makes the UI make better. Also if sliders given to user for blur, tint and transparecy the reading issue can be taken care of. I hope we get blur
Requiring people to adjust some setting to make system actually usable for them is not how we design software in GNOME.
I had issues with Blur my shell as it cooked my temps all the way to 90C on idle.
