Maybe it is already there but i have not found a setting that enables suggesting words from opened documents while typing. You always need to press Ctrl+Space to add those to the suggestions list. Many language servers(when available) fail to recognize symbols, funcs, modules. etc specially when dealing with gobject so a lot of times the suggestions offered are very limited if any. Having Word Completion work by default would help a lot
