An option to auto-hide top bar

How it would work
If this option get enabled, the top bar would show when approaching the cursor at the top edge of the screen. Also, the top bar would appear above all apps without changing the window size (if it’s maximized), with a fancy animation.

Benefits

  • More focus in the window
  • This would remove the need to use a shortcut key to toggle fullscreen mode for a window
  • More space for content to show

I think an extension for this already exists.

It might be possible that a “Shell Customization” panel will exist in Settings. This could be a great option to be added.
