You can set dynamic workspaces then use the Maximise to new work space extension to move maximised winows to new workspace use gnome tweaks “gsettings set org.gnome.mutter auto-maximize true” to auto ful screen then you can use the super key + scroll to use gnome like NIRI
Out of curiosity, why not use PaperWM extension?
