Hi, as I see at using gnome in my own language, after change it it asks me do you want to translate the directories path to your language?
like this: Documents → سند ها
this makes it hard when working with them in terminal and I think instead of this approach we should add name aliasing in nautilus.
it could be a good feature and also a way to use Files in other language
This part is handled by XDG and not GNOME. You can take a look at the following man pages for more details and changing the default behavior.
man user-dirs.confman xdg-user-dirs-update
but it trigger by gnome locale configuration
