Add elements to the Activities Overview in Gnome Shell 40

Hi all:

I’m trying to port my extension ActivitiyAppLauncher (Activity App Launcher - GNOME Shell Extensions) to Gnome 40, which shows applications categories in the Activities overview, but I’m unable to find a way for adding an element to the left in the overview mode, and compressing all other elements to the left. Can someone give me a clue?

I read that now it is done by using adjustments, but I’m not sure how does that work. It certainly isn’t the Gtk adjustments, and can’t find info about that in clutter/st APIs. Does it have something to do with ClutterLayout?
