Bluez can monitor can monitor battery percentage with devices such as headphones, speakers etc. I think It would be a great addition to at least show “Active, [percentage] battery” as a subtitle for the connected device’s menu item. (example photo below)

If the design team approves of the feature, this should be fairly trivial to implement.

I find device battery status very helpful as that is one of the biggest hurdles of wireless devices. Even if you think it’s just layout, it needs design work though. Last person to touch battery status was Sam in 2022. The wireframes – battery-status/battery-status.png · master · Teams / Design / os-mockups · GitLab no longer reflect the current quick settings.
