Add ability to list and manage users groups in settings

Currently Gnome does not have GUI for managing users groups. I can’t even see in settings to which groups I’m assigned to.

Please extend Users section with:

  • list groups that user is assigned to (my user and other users also if I’m admin)
  • ability to assign or remove user to / from specified group
  • probably in another sub-section - list all groups in system and be able to create new group and modify or delete existing one

I think listing group for my user will not require Admin privileges but probably rest of things will require Admin privileges but this can be achieved in the same way as currently creating new user in system (button that unlock Admin privileges)

That functionality will be so good for all of us

I fully support this idea.

Being able to view group membership — and manage groups through a proper GUI — would be a very useful addition to GNOME Settings, especially for users who prefer not to use the terminal.

Great and practical proposal :+1:

Yea, unfortunately still in some cases in Gnome you need to use terminal.
Ability to list and manage groups would be so good!
