2nd Monitor cropped if scaling is activated

Hi, i’m using Ubuntu 22.04.5.lts with gnome 42.9 and X11 Window Manger for nearly two years now on a Yoga7.

My setup is a 27" 4K monitor in front of me and the laptop on the right hand side.

If i configured the 27" als primary monitor (so with the status bar) and the laptop display on the right hand side as extended monitor.

Today i noticed, that the 4K monitor is cropped on the right hand side and at the bottom. So there is some invisible desktop area which is not shown. In case of the title-bar of gnome the Power-Network-Volume Menu is not visible.
If i make a screenshot, all is available. I always use some scaling (150% on the 4K and 175% at the yoga).

If i decativate the scaling (so to 100%), everything is showed correctly.

Do you have any advice or hint?

Thx. Klaus

I found the root cause: It is the X11 Window Manager. I was not aware if X11 or wayland was used all the time. Today i had a look how to change this. And as i noticed that this can be changed in the login mask i found wrongdoer: he is about two years old.

So, problem solved.

Thx. Have a nice day.
